Permanent lip tattoo treatment is a three–part process which is usually completed within two appointments. The price quoted will include all three stages.

The first part of any semi-permanent treatment process is a consultation. This can be done as part of your initial treatment, or can be done separately whatever you prefer. We will talk  in great detail about the look you are trying to achieve and what i can recommend is the best for you. This is 100% a two-way conversation. I listen, I respond and then advise.  Once i have an idea of the look you desire, I’ll draw the lip contour and colour on with a makeup pencil. This can be drawn on and adjusted as many times as necessary until you are happy with the result! I never begin the semi-permanent tattoo process until you are completely happy with what it is going to
look like.

Using my margo laser specialist facial tattooing machine, which works at a much lower frequency than a standard rotary tattoo machine, i will gently apply pigment to the lips using very fine needles.  The sensation may feel like that of an electric toothbrush being held against your skin,  you will feel the vibrations but you should not feel much discomfort. I will always work with you at this stage, giving you any breaks if you need them. The semi-permanent makeup process normally takes about two hours, but it varies from person to person depending on your individual requirements. After a permanent lip tattoo treatment you are likely to be swollen, so i do advise not making any social plans for a few days afterwards.

A second appointment is always needed 4-12 weeks after your first permanent lip tattoo treatment. This is usually a 1-1.30 hour  appointment to add more pigment to your lips. This is because as the area is healing, some parts of your semi-permanent treatment may not ‘hold’ as well as others and you may have a few patches that need more colour. This is completely normal as everyone heals differently. Whatever the case, I advise you always come back to clinic for your popup to get the best results from your lip tattoo.
